✍️ Weekly Homework with Individual Written Feedback
Your homework isn’t just marked right or wrong — your teacher writes personal feedback on your answers. It’s like having a private tutor built into a group course.
🏆 HSK 5 Exam Preparation Built In
Quizzes, mock test formats, and a curriculum aligned to the official HSK 5 syllabus. Students who commit to 6 months regularly pass. We’ll prepare you to prove your level to the world.
This Course is For You If…
- You’re at HSK 4 level or above — you can follow a conversation but still miss nuances, slang, or fast speech
- You want to sound fluent, not just functional — your goal is near-native Mandarin, not just “good enough”
- You’re tired of studying alone — you want live practice with real feedback, not another app or textbook
- You can commit 35 minutes a day — or watch the recordings at a time that suits you
- You want to pass the HSK 5 exam — our structured curriculum and mock tests are designed around the exam format
- You’re serious about Chinese culture — we go beyond the language into Chinese history, society, idioms, and contemporary life
This Course is NOT For You If…
- You’re a complete beginner — check out our HSK 1–4 courses instead
- You need a fully self-paced course — our live classes are the core of the programme (though all recordings are available to watch later)

What do our students say about this course?
First and foremost, Sabrina and Kira's enthusiasm and charisma! Their way of teaching and interacting with students is really engaging, which I think is the most important thing when learning a language. That's because learning a language requires continuous commitment, so you really need a learning environment which is engaging and enjoyable. Also, it's clear that a lot of thought has been put into designing the course and the content. I like that there is a wider monthly topic with weekly sub-topics. Because the weekly topics all relate to each other, this means you can build up your use of new vocabulary each week, and eventually you become more and more comfortable speaking about the wider topic (eg. social media) . I also appreciate that the classes are short and frequent, which is made possible by being online. I think this kind of routine is really important when learning a language. The classes are both short and digestible, but also rich in content. In the past I have participated in face-to-face courses which consist of one 2.5 hour class per week, and I think the Moonlight way of doing it is much better because your brain retains more information when you are doing a little every day rather than one lump per week. Also, no time wasted travelling to classes!
I find having the lessons purely in Chinese to be very useful to continue to develop my listening skill. It is challenging, but worth the investment. The two discussion lessons are also very insightful and good practice opportunity (most optimal when attending). Another good thing in the discussion lessons is that you are summarizing the arguments, it makes it much simpler to follow the other students (and my own) thoughts. I find in general the course to have a good mix between teaching and practicing Chinese.
It forces me to study and improve my level of communication.
I like that we use only Chinese to talk, my brain just has no choice but to try and understand what's going on. It's also great that we're studying the same topic for the whole month, and some of the words we use over and over, so I have an opportunity to memorize them well. Revising is very important.
I personally think that explaining new vocabulary is one of the major strengths.
